NCPS members can take part in several competitions through the year. Although it may be daunting to put your images forward for critique and judging this is an excellent way to learn how to improve your photography. All of our competitions are judged by people from outside of the club.

NCPS are also active in external CACC and PAGB competitions and members have opportunities to enter these both individually and as a club throughout the year.

The internal league competition consists of six rounds and is open to all paid up members. There are three set subject rounds and three open rounds.

Members may enter up to two prints and up to two digital images in each round. Prints need to be mounted and digital images need to be re-sized for projection. Members will be happy to help you with getting your images prepared for competition.

Each image is given a score out of 20 and the best score for each member in each round is totalled up with the member with the highest score for prints and for digital images awarded the club prizes. A mono competition is also run alongside the internal competition.
